NOTES FROM PREVIOUS RETREATS

March 20, 2005

"From time to time, we can set aside some time for a retreat or day of mindfulness so we can sit, walk slowly, smile, eat lunch with friends, and enjoy being together as though we are the happiest people on Earth. This is not just a retreat, it is a treat."
- Thich Nhat Hanh

This three day retreat and celebration was a wonderful event. Four monks from from Green Mountain Dharma Center in Vermont were at Magnolia Village to lead the retreat and celebration. Thay Phap Dang gave several Dharma talks for children and adults. Sundays Vesak celebration brought participants from as far away as Chicago, and there were monks and who lay attended from Quan Am and Pho Da Monasteries of Memphis.

All who attended are deeply grateful for our visitors and the hard work from all of the wonderful people of Magnolia Village and the Sangha at large.

Click here for a photo gallery of this weekend.
